Mandy Rose: From WWE Star to Self-Made Sensation
If you caught our Femme Fatales feature in the January/February issue of Penthouse, you’ll remember Mandy Rose—WWE’s bronzed bombshell who turned heads with her powerhouse persona and stunning looks. Known in the ring for her devastating “Kiss from a Rose†finisher (a knee to the face), Mandy left a lasting impression. But what happened next shocked fans and the wrestling world alike.
A Sudden Exit from the Ring
Just days after our last issue hit the shelves, Mandy Rose was unceremoniously expelled from the WWE. In a single whirlwind week, she lost her NXT Women’s Championship title to Roxanne Perez, also known as the Iron Survivor, and was let go from the company entirely.
But Mandy’s sudden exit wasn’t just about her defeat in the ring. Her departure was reportedly unrelated to her loss and instead stemmed from something far more controversial.
The FanTime Fallout
At the heart of the drama was Mandy’s subscription-based content on FanTime, a platform where athletes can connect directly with fans through exclusive content. According to sources, some of the content Mandy posted—like a skinny-dipping video and intimate shower photos with her fiancé and former pro wrestler Tino Sabbatelli—violated WWE’s strict policies.
Under WWE’s terms, wrestlers are prohibited from engaging in third-party business ventures without explicit permission. Mandy’s FanTime uploads, though wildly popular with fans, crossed that line.
Silence from WWE, But Not From Fans
WWE has remained tight-lipped, issuing no official statement. Still, the wrestling community has been anything but quiet. Wrestling enthusiast and podcast host Freddie Prinze Jr. called the release “the first fumble†by Triple H since taking on a corporate leadership role in WWE.
Double Standards?
Many pointed out the hypocrisy in WWE’s stance. Mandy had long been marketed based on her sex appeal, with the company even producing steamy promotional photos featuring her in near-nude poses.
“The photo of me with two titles—I was completely naked underneath. That’s considered a racy photo, right?†Mandy remarked in an interview with the New York Post, highlighting the grey area around what WWE considers acceptable.
An Internal Snitch?
Reports claim Mandy’s FanTime activity was brought to WWE’s attention by Jason Bloom, a retired wrestler and WWE trainer. He allegedly informed Shawn Michaels, now WWE’s Senior VP of Talent Development. Whether Bloom knew the magnitude of his whistleblowing or not, he may have done Mandy a massive favour.
A Million-Dollar Move
In a twist of fate, Mandy’s FanTime earnings soared following her WWE departure. Within weeks, she reportedly earned over $1 million, thanks to a flood of subscriptions for her spicy content—bikini shots, lingerie photos, live chats, and more.
Considering most WWE wrestlers earn under $100,000 a year and cover their own health insurance, Mandy’s exit might have been more profitable than sticking around.
What’s Next for Mandy?
According to Prinze, Mandy may not be out of the wrestling spotlight for long. Once her 90-day no-compete clause expires, she could sign with other federations like AEW, NWA, or Impact Wrestling. WWE may have left the door “technically open,†but if Mandy was asked to cut them in on her FanTime profits, her response was likely less than polite.
Don’t Count Her Out
From the WWE spotlight to carving her own lane online, Mandy Rose has shown grit, glamour, and savvy business sense. Whatever her next move, one thing is certain—this New Yorker doesn’t stay down for long.
Stay tuned. We’ve got a feeling Mandy’s second act is just getting started.
